My son received this for his birthday. While we were still at the store a piece fell off. The sales associate said that the piece would easily go back on. It did. However, from the first day the brakes were not good. My husband worked on them to no avail – even before my son was able to enjoy it. Finally we have had to take it to a bike shop to be fixed – hopefully. The man at the bike shop said that Mongoose bikes are known for having poor brakes.

So FINALLY got the bike days after it was supposed to arrive. Had to put it together quickly since it was already the day of the birthday. Wouldnt you know that the tire tube blew! Oh and not to mention the fact that NO PEDALS OR PEGS WERE INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE!!!!! Had to send someone to get these things from the sporting goods store. Very disappointed!
